SEALEX®E-Z
One-Part, Flexible, Cold-Applied, Traffic Loop Sealant

DESCRIPTION
SEALEX E-Z is a one part, flexible, and fast drying traffic loop protector and sealant. While totally encapsulating sensitive detection wiring to add greater protection, SEALEX E-Z provides superior joint sealing properties.

SEALEX E-Z can even be applied into damp joints. (No standing water.) It bonds tenaciously to both Portland cement and asphalt concrete pavements. Sidewall adhesion and flexibility characteristics are retained during cold winter temperatures. SEALEX E-Z will not flow from joints or be picked up by vehicular traffic in hot weather.

APPLICATION
Apply SEALEX-EZ when air and pavement temperatures are above 45ºF (7ºC). Do not apply if rain is forecast or imminent within 24 hours.

Surface Preparation...The sawed loop should be clean and free of standing water, however, SEALEX E-Z can adhere to damp joints. Pour sealant directly from the one-gallon unit or from any appropriate container.

Application Method...MIX WELL BEFORE USING. Pour sealant directly from the one-gallon unit or from any appropriate pouring container. Once applied, a follow-up should be done with a soft-rubber, U-shaped squeegee to form a wipe zone of approximately 3-4 inches (76.2-101.6mm) wide along the crack/joint and flush with the highway or pavement surface.

SEALEX E-Z will become tack free within two hours. To help insure that traffic will not pick up sealant prior to full cure, the material can be recessed 1/8" below pavement surface. Dust with cement dust, cover with a 2-ply toilet paper, or spray with a detackifier to aid in reducing any potential for tracking.

Clean Up...Use water for clean up before product cures. Once material has cured, use a solvent-based cleaner.
