SURFACE PREPARATION
All surfaces must be clean (free of coatings), free of frost,
relatively smooth and structurally sound. Patch any bug holes,
tie holes, large gaps or cracks with MEADOW-PATCH 5 or MEADOW-PATCH
20 from W. R. MEADOWS. All loose laitance on the substrates, such
as dirt, dust, loose stones and debris should be either swept
or blown clean.
MIXING
MEADOW-PRUF SEAMLESS is designed to be used from the pail or drum
with little or no mixing. However, if water appears on the surface
of the unit, thoroughly mix with a low speed mechanical mixer
prior to application.
PRIMING
To reduce blistering on concrete surfaces, a thin coat of MEADOW-PRUF
SEAMLESS diluted with water may be required. (Approximate dilution
ratio of MEADOW-PRUF SEAMLESS to water is 4:1.)
Thoroughly, mechanically mix primer. Prime the entire concrete surface to be waterproofed by spraying or rolling on a single coat at a coverage rate of 100-150 sq. ft./gal. Allow primer to dry (approximately one hour, depending on climatic conditions).
APPLICATION
MEADOW-PRUF SEAMLESS may
be applied by spraying* or 3/4" minimum nap roller.
Thoroughly, mechanically mix MEADOW-PRUF SEAMLESS prior to application. MEADOW-PRUF SEAMLESS may be sprayed on at the minimum coverage rate of approximately 20-25 sq.ft./gal. (60 mils, wet) (45 mils, dry). Two coats (30 mils wet) may be necessary if the material begins to slump. Apply second coat after first coat has completely dried, approximately one to two hours after first coat. Frequently inspect surface area with a wet mil gauge to ensure consistent thickness. Porous masonry block walls may require additional coats to obtain desired thickness.
For detailed information on spray equipment recommendations, use and clean up, please refer to W. R. MEADOWS technical bulletin #05-724-A, or the softbound catalog.
PROTECTION
Cover with W. R. MEADOWS Protection Course, MEL-DRAIN Drainage
Board, or other approved material.
CLEAN-UP
MEADOW-PRUF SEAMLESS cleans up easily while wet with water. After
material has cured, use mineral spirits for removal.
PRECAUTIONS
KEEP FROM FREEZING. Do
not apply MEADOW-PRUF PRIMER or MEADOW-PRUF SEAMLESS if rainfall
is forecast or imminent within four hours. Do not apply MEADOW-PRUF
PRIMER or MEADOW-PRUF SEAMLESS when air, material and surface
temperatures are expected to fall below 40ºF (4ºC) within
4 hours of completed application.
