SPECTRUM SURFACE ENHANCER

DESCRIPTION
SPECTRUM SURFACE ENHANCER is a water-based product, specifically formulated to be used as an additive  for SPECTRUM WATER-BASED STAIN from W. R. MEADOWS. Adding SPECTRUM SURFACE ENHANCER provides optimum adhesion to the concrete and will improve the ultimate durability of the stain. SPECTRUM SURFACE ENHANCER is non-flammable, non-combustible, non-hazardous, eco-friendly, and VOC-compliant.  SPECTRUM SURFACE ENHANCER may also be used as a prime coat prior to the application of SPECTRUM WATER-BASED STAIN.

COVERAGE*
Approximately 6.1 m²/L (250 ft.²/gal.), when used as a primer and approximately 12.3 m²/L (500 ft.²/gal.), when used as an additive with the SPECTRUM WATER-BASED STAINS, Natural Series (Solid) Colours. The recommended dilution ratio for base colours applied to concrete is 1 part colour concentrate to 2 parts Surface Enhancer to 2 parts de-ionized or reverse osmosis water.

*Coverage will vary due to dilution ratio (of the stain), profile, porosity, application technique, condition of the substrate, etc.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE - VOC
SPECTRUM SURFACE ENHANCER meets all applicable  Federal, State, District and Local, AIM VOC Regulations.

PRECAUTIONS/LIMITATIONS
  • Do not use on previously stained floors (designed for use in first coat of stain.
  • Do not use SPECTRUM SURFACE ENHANCER  on cementitous overlays, micro-toppings, etc.
  • Do not use as a primer if the surface contains a sealer, paint, concrete curing compound coating, adhesive, etc., or was previously treated with a penetrating product such as a silicate, silane, siloxane, etc.

SHELF LIFE (TYPICAL)
One year in unopened, factory-sealed container. Store in a dry area, away from moisture, at 4 - 32° C (40 - 90° F).

SURFACE PREPARATION and APPLICATION
For detailed surface preparation and application instructions, please refer to the W. R. MEADOWS guide DETAILED APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPECTRUM WATER-BASED STAIN.

Primer:  When used as primer for a SPECTRUM WATER-BASED STAIN, apply SPECTRUM SURFACE ENHANCER directly to the concrete surface, using a roller, at approximately 6.1 m²/L (250 ft.²/gal.).  Allow SPECTRUM SURFACE ENHANCER to dry to touch prior to application of SPECTRUM WATER-BASED STAIN.
