Arch/CAD Specialist - Hampshire, IL

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Arch/CAD Specialist with a degree in Architecture or a related field. The ideal candidate will generate detailed and accurate CAD drawings for our building envelope products and systems, demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of our products, and effectively support various project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate detailed and accurate CAD drawings for building envelope products, including assemblies associated with air barrier systems, roofing systems, and waterproofing systems.
Create details that accurately represent design intent, incorporating specific items, call-outs, and features relevant to each WRM system.
Maintain general construction knowledge as it pertains to WRM products and systems.
Ensure details creation aligns with industry standards, project specifications, and relevant codes.
Assist in the selection of appropriate WRM materials and components for air barrier, roofing, and waterproofing systems at the detail design level.
Effectively communicate with WRM sales representatives, technical teams, and external customers.
Participate in WRM project calls/meetings with all interested project parties, including architects, engineers, sub-contractors, general contractors, and consultants.
Understand project stakeholders and convey WRM positions through an understanding of design intent and construction processes.
Provide support in the creation of and/or adjustment to project-specific BES details.
Make minor updates/adjustments to details without changing the overall design intent and provide visual guidance of application, including connection to adjacent products/systems.
Review project drawings and details for Warranty requests
Create 3-part product specifications
Assist Technical training manager in jobsite reviews

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).

Strong understanding of construction processes and building envelope systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with various project stakeholders.

Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawings.

Familiarity with industry standards, project specifications, and relevant codes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the construction or building envelope industry.

Knowledge of WRM products and systems
