1109 PRO-SEAL is a combination of specially refined asphalt emulsion, selected fibers, mineral filler, polymer modifiers, and pigments. 1109 PRO-SEAL forms a tough, ductile, protective coating to an asphalt-wearing surface. 1109 PRO-SEAL seals and protects asphalt pavement from the damaging effects of moisture, oxidation, and freeze-thaw cycles.
1109 PRO-SEAL is designed for driveways and commercial parking area applications, such as fast food restaurants, apartment complexes, schools, shopping malls, and commercial complexes, and also for segregation on new asphalt. 1109 PRO-SEAL not only protects but beautifies – makes old asphalt look like new.

Coverage is approximately .86 m2/L (35 ft.2/gal.) for commercial application and 1.23 m2/L (50 ft.2/gal.) for residential application, depending on porosity of the surface. Multiple coats are recommended. Allow up to 24 hours curing time between coats.
When stored indoors in original, unopened containers at temperatures between 4° – 32° C, optimum performance and best use is obtained within one year of date of manufacture.
Surface Preparation … Asphalt preparation includes repairing or removing any surface defects and patching with hot mix. Potholes should be filled with 1170 ROAD REPAIR from W. R. MEADOWS and allowed to cure. Clean and seal cracks 5 mm and larger. Treat oil, grease, and gasoline stains with A-500 OIL SPOT PRIMER from W. R. MEADOWS. Final preparation includes power sweeping and pressure washing area to be sealed to remove loose materials, such as leaves, stones, dirt, and dust. If dirty surfaces are not properly cleaned, the sealer cannot bond or grip to the surface and de-bonding of the coating will occur. Sources of water runoff, such as landscape irrigation, should be shut off, and the asphalt surface must be completely dry prior to application.
Application Method … Stir thoroughly before using. 1109 PRO-SEAL can be applied by hand squeegee, mechanical applicator, or approved spray application equipment. For a porous surface, add .45 kg silica sand per 3.78 L. Stir thoroughly. Minimum application temperature is 20º C and rising. Minimum surface temperature is 20º C and rising with no rain forecast for up to 24 hours. Coating should have time to dry before rain or dew can damage. 1109 PRO-SEAL should be allowed to cure for 24 hours before opening to traffic. To enhance sealer performance, add A-625 FAST DRY copolymer emulsions from W. R. MEADOWS. Mix at a rate of 3.78 L to one 208 L drum. Stir thoroughly before using. 1109 PRO-SEAL is best mixed using a 12.7 mm speed drill with mixing paddle. Asphalt surface must be dry prior to application. New (less than 60 days old) or oxidized surfaces should be prime-coated with 1109 PRO-SEAL and diluted 100% (1:1) with water prior to the application of the first coat of sealer.
Cleanup … While still wet, clean tools and equipment with soap and water. Use diesel fuel if material has dried.
Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children. In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Do not store containerized sealer above 38º C. Do not expose containerized sealer to open flame. Refer to Safety Data Sheet for complete health and safety information.
