Proprietary, Dual-Action, Acrylic Curing Compound
PENCURE OTC is a unique, dual-action, non-yellowing, acrylic, concrete curing compound. The product is clear, transparent, and easy to apply. PENCURE OTC has been formulated to simultaneously form a membrane and penetrate into the surface of the concrete to cure the surface and also reduce the intrusion of salts and water.
PENCURE OTC is designed for fresh, broomed finished, exterior concrete, such as driveways, patios, parking lots, etc.
- Unique dual-action formulation – cures freshly placed concrete and reduces the intrusion of water and salt penetration.
- Single-step application.
- Permeable film allows moisture in cured concrete to evaporate.
- Provides a clear membrane that will not yellow.
- Provides low-gloss/satin appearance.
- Minimizes hair checking, cracking, dusting, spalling, and other defects common to improperly cured or uncured concrete.
- VOC compliant.
18.9 Litre (5 U.S. Gal.) Pails
208.2 Litre (55 U.S. Gal.) Drums
Approximately 4.91 m²/L (200 ft.² gal.). Coverage is approximate and may vary depending on surface finish/texture, concrete condition, climatic conditions, etc. Always apply to a test area first to determine actual coverage rate before full-scale application.
When stored indoors in original, unopened containers at temperatures between 4° – 32° C, optimum performance and best use is obtained within one year of date of manufacture.

Surface Preparation … Apply a single coat of PENCURE OTC as soon as all surface water has disappeared and the concrete surface will not be marred by walking workers.
Application Method … Use a sprayer or short-nap roller to apply a uniform film. A standard industrial-grade sprayer, such as a Chapin 19069, with a 1.9 LPM (0.5 GPM) sprayer and fan spray pattern is recommended. Apply over the entire surface. Avoid puddling in low areas. If puddles occur, brush or roll them out. The application temperature must be between 10° – 32.2° C at time of application.
Mixing … For optimum performance, gentle mixing or agitation is recommended. CAUTION: TO AVOID FOAMING, DO NOT MIX EXCESSIVELY.
Drying Time … Product dries quickly. Drying times will vary depending on application rate, temperature, humidity, and project conditions. Restrict foot traffic for at least four hours. Twelve hours is preferable.
Cleanup … Clean tools after use with a solvent such as xylene, toluene, or SEALTIGHT SOLVENT from W. R. MEADOWS.
FOR OUTSIDE/EXTERIOR APPLICATION ONLY. PENCURE OTC IS FLAMMABLE. KEEP AWAY FROM ALL OPEN FLAMES, SPARKS, IGNITION SOURCES, etc. Use with adequate ventilation and block all HVAC ventilation ducts which may spread product vapors – vapors are flammable and heavier than air. Surfaces treated with PENCURE OTC may become slippery under certain conditions.
PENCURE OTC should not be applied in direct sunlight, or in high temperature conditions. These conditions cause rapid evaporation, preventing proper film formation, which may cause the dried film to peel, bubble, become hazy, and/or turn white (blush). The application temperature must be between 10° – 32.2° C at time of application to allow for proper film formation.
PENCURE OTC should not be applied to concrete exposed to excessive moisture. Improper or over-application may cause the dried PENCURE OTC film to appear hazy and/or white.
Do not use on dense or non-porous surfaces, i.e. brick, stone, etc. Not intended for use on steel-troweled concrete. Do not use on decourative concrete surfaces. Concrete containing calcium chloride will remain dark longer when treated with this product. To prevent damage, quickly clean spills of solvent, gasoline, brake fluid, or other staining materials.
Apply only one coat; never apply additional coat. Do not use on joints or channels that will receive elastomeric caulks. PENCURE OTC should be applied within two hours of final finishing.
