APPLICATION
Surface Preparation … Prior to a full-scale application of SPECTRUM 940 Shake-On Colorant, an onsite test should be conducted utilizing the exact concrete mix design. Once the concrete has reached a point that no bleed water remains, open the surface with a wood float. The concrete should be placed, screeded, and floated prior to the installation of SPECTRUM 940 Shake-On Colorant.
Application Method … Broadcast SPECTRUM 940 Shake-On Colorant from the container, over the entire surface. Care should be taken to broadcast the material low across the surface to prevent air currents from separating the material. For optimum results, apply in two applications. Apply the first application by broadcasting two-thirds of the recommended dosage onto the surface, allowing it to wet out thoroughly before working it in with a bull float. The remaining one-third may then be applied following the same procedure. To achieve the most uniform colour, the floor should not be overworked. SPECTRUM 940 Shake-On Colorant must be worked in slowly, carefully, and uniformly for proper distribution and depth of colour. Allow the colorant to wet into the surface of the concrete prior to floating.
NOTE: DO NOT WATER CURE OR COVER CONCRETE TO CURE, AS THIS WILL CAUSE DISCOLOURATION.
Sealing … Protect the concrete using DECRA-SEAL™ or DECRA-SEAL W/B from W. R. MEADOWS.
Cleanup … SPECTRUM 940 Shake-On Colorant cleans up with water.
