HAMPSHIRE, IL — W. R. MEADOWS is announcing a significant expansion of its Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) portfolio, adding multiple products across its waterproofing and concrete construction lines. Newly published EPDs are now available for the following product groups:
- Concrete Curing & Densifier Products: SIL-CRETE, MED-CURE, LIQUI-HARD, LIQUI-HARD ULTRA
- Waterproofing Membrane Products: HRM 714, PRECON
This brings the company to a total of 65 product and plant-specific EPDs for 23 of its most widely used solutions across a range of high-performance air barriers, waterproofing membranes, primers, concrete curing compounds, and concrete densifiers and hardeners.
Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are standardized, third-party verified documents that communicate a product’s environmental impacts across its life cycle, from raw material extraction through manufacturing and beyond. Developed using internationally recognized life cycle assessment (LCA) methodologies, EPDs provide transparent, comparable data that help architects, engineers, and contractors make informed, sustainability-focused material selections and contribute to green building certifications.
W. R. MEADOWS developed these EPDs in collaboration with Sustainable Minds, an ISO 14025 program operator providing LCA expertise, digital tools, and guidance throughout the process. The Athena Sustainable Materials Institute conducted independent third-party verification to support accuracy, consistency, and credibility in accordance with industry standards. Together, these efforts reinforce W. R. MEADOWS’ commitment to transparency and to supporting customer needs.
The products are featured in the Sustainable Minds Transparency Catalog™, a leading free platform for sourcing building and construction products for high-performance, low-carbon, and healthier buildings. The catalog makes it easy for industry professionals to select, specify, and procure products with credible transparency documentation.
Sustainable Minds’ Project Builder & Library enables organizations to build their internal materials knowledge base and transforms material selection into collaborative workflows, enabling teams to compare products, configure performance criteria, build projects and libraries, and collaborate across the design and construction stages. By integrating transparency data into real project workflows, Sustainable Minds helps ensure that better products are not only identified, but specified and procured, driving measurable progress toward carbon reduction and material health goals.
At W. R. MEADOWS, we support sustainable construction by providing transparent, high-quality environmental data across our product portfolio,” said Kimberly Lombardozzi, Sustainability Manager for W. R. MEADOWS. “Publishing EPDs for an increasingly larger portion of our product portfolio reflects our continued commitment to helping customers make informed material choices.”
