Concrete, although one of the most durable of building materials, will at some point in its life need to be repaired and restored. The challenge to determine a proper repair strategy is to assemble the best possible team of designers, contractors and material suppliers.

The designer, in conjunction with the material supplier and contractor, identifies the types of repairs needed, the successful strategy for those repairs, and then selects the best possible materials to complete the repairs. The contractor is then charged with completion of the project. Performing in tandem will ensure a long-term, successful renovation by combining the expertise of all disciplines.

Early on, W. R. MEADOWS identified the best material properties needed to ensure proper design performance for surface renovation and concrete patching. This varies from that which is typically required for structural repair.

NEW FROM W. R. MEADOWS – MEADOW-PATCH SMOOTH-GRADE

New from W. R. MEADOWS comes MEADOW-PATCH SMOOTH-GRADE – a single-component, polymer-modified, cement-based, sands-free material used for achieving an ultra-smooth finish on precast, cast-in-place, tilt-up or other unfinished concrete surfaces. This product offers superior adhesion and durability. It contains no added gypsum, has excellent workability for trowel application, and has an extended pot life for enhanced working time.

MEADOW-PATCH SMOOTH-GRADE is versatile and easy to mix and apply. With its smooth consistency and extended working time, it is an excellent product for filling imperfections in newly placed or existing concrete surfaces. MEADOW-PATCH SMOOTH-GRADE is an ideal choice for smoothing rough surfaces, repairing honeycombs, and dressing up bug holes or other small surface defects. When mixed, its creamy consistency provides an excellent concrete wash, parging material for concrete walls, precast concrete elements, cast-in-place concrete, or existing concrete or block. Because of its excellent bond and freeze-thaw resistance, MEADOW-PATCH SMOOTH-GRADE may be used for interior and/or exterior applications: below-, above- or on-grade.
