W. R. Meadows, a respected, family-owned leader in the construction materials industry since 1926, is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to cover the Metro New York territory. This position focuses on promoting and selling our Division 3 (Concrete Products/Chemicals) and Division 7 (Waterproofing Products/Chemicals/Coatings) through established distribution channels.
As a vital part of our growing team, you’ll serve as the face of W. R. Meadows to contractors, distributors, architects, and specifiers—building relationships, driving sales, and strengthening our brand presence across your region.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, architects, general contractors, and subcontractors
- Promote and specify W. R. Meadows’ full product line throughout your territory
- Generate leads, pursue opportunities, and follow up on quotes to convert them to sales
- Conduct in-person visits and field presentations (some overnight travel required)
- Report weekly on territory activity, customer engagement, and sales forecasts
- Stay current with competitive products and market trends
- Participate in trade associations like CSI and ICRI (membership encouraged)
Who You Are
You’re a strategic and self-motivated “hunter” with a passion for construction products and sales. You excel at identifying opportunities, building trust, and closing deals.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time management abilities
- Confident decision-maker with problem-solving capabilities
- Familiarity with general construction practices
- Technically savvy with good math and computer skills
- Comfortable working independently and on the road
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience in a related industry (construction, building materials, etc.)
- Knowledge of Division 3 and Division 7 products preferred
- Industry certifications (CSI, CDT, ICRI) a plus, but not required
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the region
