Can EG-96 HP be used without aggregate? The application requires doweling and the hole is deep (1 m) but not wide. Aggregate will not fit. Should sand, something else, or nothing be used?
The short answer is no, it must be mixed with aggregate. The data sheet has a chart describing the maximum aggregate reduction based on pour type and temperature conditions, but aggregate reduction shouldn’t exceed what is listed in the chart.
Also, the aggregate in EG-96 HP is sand; it’s not that large. We wouldn’t expect the aggregate to cause any problems no matter the diameter of the hole.
And lastly, EG-96 HP is designed more for grouting than doweling applications. Depending on the specifics of the application and the performance criteria they need to meet, Rezi-Weld 1000 or Rezi-Weld Gel Paste State may be a more suitable option.
