High build reinforced system consists of two applications of HYDRALASTIC 836 reinforced with REINFORCING FABRIC HCR. All detailing work should be done prior to full application of HYDRALASTIC 836. Application details can be found at www.wrmeadows.com.
Apply HYDRALASTIC 836 using a trowel, roller, or flat-blade squeegee at a rate of 25 ft.²/gal. (0.61 m²/L) to the entire area to receive waterproofing, including over all previously detailed areas. Test periodically to make sure correct mil thickness (60 mils) is achieved. Immediately install REINFORCING FABRIC HCR into the wet HYDRALASTIC 836 and ensure that the fabric is completely covered and saturated with HYDRALASTIC 836. A dry roller can be used to embed the fabric into the wet HYDRALASTIC 836. Overlap adjoining sheets of fabric a minimum of ½” (12.7 mm) and ensure these areas are also saturated with HYDRALASTIC 836. Carefully install fabric to avoid wrinkles and air bubbles. If this occurs, cut fabric and roll into place to remove air and wrinkles.
Prior to application of the second coat of HYDRALASTIC 836, the first coat should be cured for approximately four hours or until membrane can support foot traffic. Cure times can be affected by humidity and temperature. Once cured, the second coat should be applied as soon as possible, waiting no longer than eight hours. This second coat should be applied at a rate of 25 ft.²/gal. (0.61 m²/L), extending past the edge of the fabric to completely encapsulate it. Test periodically to make sure the correct mil thickness (60 mils) is achieved. The total system dry film thickness shall be 120 mils.
