The effectiveness, overall efficiency, and hiqh quality of Precon, W. R. Meadows’ pre-applied/underslab waterproofing membrane, is demonstrated by the fact that architects and contractors continue to trust it for their biggest projects. In order to better assist with the application of the product, we’ve recently launched a Precon video. This video was recently released to inform and educate on the product and its ease of installation, help guide you through your installation, and discuss what other W. R. Meadows products Precon works in conjunction with.
Precon is used as a blindside membrane in vertical applications where access to the positive side is limited. The membrane can also be used for horizontal applications for underslab waterproofing and vaporproofing. It is a composite sheet membrane comprised of a non-woven fabric, elastomeric membrane, and W. R. Meadows’ exclusive, patented plasmatic core.
Precon’s fabric bonds tenaciously to poured concrete walls to create solid waterproofing protection. Superior to traditional clay-type products, Precon features a greater seal to stop water in its tracks. A low temperature version is also available.
“For over 90 years, W. R. Meadows has developed products and systems to provide the industry with a single source solution for moisture protection of structures,” said Russ Snow, Building Science Specialist at W. R. Meadows. “The introduction of Precon a number of years ago complemented our existing waterproofing products that have been successfully installed for decades, allowing us to offer a complete below-grade solution for both waterproofing and vaporproofing, regardless of the type of construction.”
We hope this video gives you the information you need for a successful Precon installation, or answers any lingering questions you may have.
