CARE AND MAINTENANCE:
Standard industry practices should be followed to ensure a long service life for DECK-O-SEAL.
POOL WATER CHEMISTRY:
Be sure to follow industry standard practices for maintaining well-balanced pool water. Best practices include using filters, sanitizers, and algaecide to prevent biological contamination and growth within the pool. Excessive shock treatments can cause a temporary chalking (white residue) on the sealant, which dissipates as chlorine levels return to normal. This does not affect the long term viability of the DECK-O-SEAL joint sealant.
SEALANT CLEANING:
DECK-O-SEAL should be cleaned with a mild detergent and a soft bristle brush. Be sure to use no abrasive products.
SEALANT MAINTENANCE:
If the DECK-O-SEAL joint sealant is damaged within the joint and the bond is intact, cut out the affected area and reapply as directed in the DECK-O-SEAL technical data sheet application instructions. If the bond has been affected, remove DECK-O-SEAL from the joint before cleaning the substrate and reapplying as directed in the applications instructions.
