Use Our Technical Bulletin for Water Penetration Testing to Your Benefit

As a manufacturer and designer of high-quality building materials for construction professionals for 90 years, W. R. Meadows takes great pride in its work.  Part of that process is testing its products prior to putting them out on the market to ensure environmental, health, and structural safety.  Taking it a step further, we’ve written and released several technical bulletins describing the testing that is commonly used on W. R. Meadows products.  One such technical bulletin covers Water Penetration Testing.

The Water Penetration Testing Technical Bulletin walks us through three commonly used methods for testing water penetration: ASTM E1105, ASTM E331, and AAMA 501.1.  Each of these three tests explore a different angle of the prevention of water penetration, and collectively cover standard test methods for water penetration of windows, curtain walls, doors using dynamic pressure, installed exterior windows, skylights, and doors.
