FORM OIL
VOC-Compliant Form Release
DESCRIPTION
FORM OIL is composed of a high molecular weight, chemically inert ingredient to prevent the bonding of concrete to the form. FORM OIL form release, when properly applied, is an inexpensive way to substantially reduce the potential creation of bug holes.
USES
FORM OIL can be used on forms such as wood, steel, aluminum, fiberglass reinforced, all grades of plywood (including pre-oiled, overlaid, LDO, NDO, HDO), epoxy-coated, urethane-coated, and fiber tubes. FORM OIL increases the life of wood forms by penetrating into the wood to waterproof and prevent deterioration. It also reduces maintenance requirements on metal forms by forming a rustproof film that makes the metal form essentially self-cleaning and rust-free.
FORM OIL can be applied to fiber tube forms, even though they may be pre-coated. Tubes will strip much easier, even 60 – 90 days later. If tubes are stripped in 5 – 10 days, hand rubbing is greatly facilitated when tubes are coated with FORM OIL.
FORM OIL also cuts machine cleanup time because it minimizes concrete buildup. Pavers, trucks, mixers, spreader-finishers, buggies, chutes and other types of equipment should be sprayed daily with FORM OIL for easy cleanup and rust prevention.
FORM OIL can be applied on forms for prestressed and precast concrete to produce a cleaner cast. When properly applied, FORM OIL will not stain or discolor concrete, and will substantially reduce the formation of bug holes.

SHELF LIFE
When stored indoors in original, unopened containers at temperatures between 40° – 90° F, optimum performance and best use is obtained within two years of date of manufacture.

- Complies with all current federal, state, and local maximum allowable VOC requirements, including CARB, Arizona Maricopa County, Utah Department of Environmental Quality, U.S. EPA, and SCAQMD.

APPLICATION
Surface Preparation … Form surfaces are to be thoroughly cleaned prior to application. All rust and scale must be removed in accordance with good concrete practices. It is imperative when using new wooden forms of all types (plain wooden, plywood, rough cut, etc.) that FORM OIL be applied and reapplied until complete saturation has been accomplished prior to first use.
Application Method … Spraying is the ideal method of application. Use an industrial sprayer, such as a Chapin 1949, with a spray nozzle that produces a flow of 0.1 GPM (0.379 LPM). FORM OIL may also be applied by roller coating, mopping, or brushing. A thin film should be applied for maximum economy and efficiency. Runs or puddles need to be brushed out. For metal forms, best results are obtained with a spray-on “fog” application of FORM OIL.
PRECAUTIONS
DO NOT OVER-APPLY FORM OIL TO FORMS OR EQUIPMENT. DO NOT MIX OR DILUTE WITH ANY OTHER COMPOUNDS. DO NOT USE ON expanded polystyrene (foam), rubber, latex (or latex forms made from SBR or natural rubber), or plaster-coated forms. Read and follow application information, precautions and Safety Data Sheet prior to use.
