AIR-SHIELD: Designing for the 21st Century

W. R. MEADOWS is proud to offer the AIR-SHIELD line of sheet-applied air barriers. These self-adhesive membranes are designed to control air leakage and moisture movement in all types of wall assemblies. AIR-SHIELD membranes are strong, durable and remain flexible, even in cold temperatures (see our low-temp products). AIR-SHIELD will not shrink, sag, dry out, crack, or rot, and offers excellent resistance to punctures during installation. The self-gasketing characteristic provides continued protection if penetrated by fasteners.

NEW FROM W. R. MEADOWS – AIR-SHIELD HT

AIR-SHIELD HT high temperature self-adhering air/vapor and liquid moisture barrier is a flexible transition and membrane flashing. It is a roll-type product that is nominally 40 mils thick. The membrane is fabricated from cross-laminated polyethylene film bonded to specially modified asphalt designed to withstand elevated temperatures. The product is designed as a concealed flashing for masonry concrete, wood/steel frames, and roofing applications – door and window lintels, sills, spandrel beams, caps, and parapets. AIR-SHIELD HT is designed for use as a thru-wall flashing and dampproofing course.
