In this application, PRECON® was used as a pre-placed/blindside waterproofing solution for a terminal rail station at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Corgan Associated selected PRECON for the 240,000 sq ft. project because it met physical requirements while also being cost effective and easy to apply. PRECON is a composite sheet membrane comprised of a non-woven fabric, elastomeric membrane, and W. R. MEADOWS’ exclusive, patented plasmatic core (U.S. Patent No. 7,179,761). W. R. Meadows recently took part in a unique application at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. This unique project elicited a new case study from us that detailed the unique conditions of this project. Our new case study takes a look at the details of the project, giving the reader information on why our Precon was used as the waterproofing membrane of choice. Also used was our Mel-Drain rolled matrix drainage system and BEM waterproofing compound.
