In 1926, a visionary and entrepreneur named W. R. “Bob” Meadows set out with one idea: to make asphalt expansion joints for America’s growing highway system. That simple start gave rise to SEALTIGHT in 1930, along with our iconic knight in armor, Sir Sealtight, who became the trusted face of our products.
From the beginning, Bob’s vision was bigger than just one product. He built W. R. MEADOWS on three timeless values: quality, service, and integrity. Those principles quickly earned us a place on job sites nationwide and lasting trust among contractors, engineers, and architects.
Nearly a Century Strong
Almost 100 years later, W. R. MEADOWS is still family-owned and still guided by the same values. We’ve grown to offer over 300 products across divisions 3 and 7, and we continue to lead the way with innovations like our GREENLINE® products—designed to reduce chemical emissions while delivering top-tier performance.
