Exposed aggregate can be a beautiful and cost-effective option as an architectural finish which features the natural color and texture of aggregate, but just like all concrete flatwork, it’s necessary to properly protect the surface to ensure longevity. Both freshly finished and previously exposed aggregate can benefit from the use of EXPO-GLOSS exposed aggregate sealer. EXPO-GLOSS is a transparent, high solids, film-forming, curing, sealing, and dustproofing compound that provides improved surface protection and resistance to staining and wear while enhancing the natural beauty of the exposed stone. Achieve an aesthetically pleasing “wet-look” finish when EXPO-GLOSS is properly applied. EXPO-GLOSS’ breathable film allows moisture in cured concrete to evaporate. EXPO-GLOSS OTC is available in the Midwest and Northeast to meet the more stringent, Phase I OTC VOC regulations.
EXPO-GLOSS comes in a transparent and marrimac brown formulation. The transparent formula offers shine while preserving the original color of the aggregate while the marrimac brown version darkens the appearance of the stones for a richer appearance. A color chart is available to help distinguish which option is best for your project.
