How can 1100-CLEAR SERIES be removed?

How can 1100-CLEAR SERIES (including 1150-CLEAR) be removed?  The product has not dissipated and it was applied four months ago in a trowel finish.

1100-CLEAR SERIES can be removed by chemical or mechanical means.  For chemical removal of concrete curing compounds, we recommend the following product:

Mechanical abrasion such as water blast, sand blast, shot blast or mechanical sanding equipment may also be used. For water blasting, a range of 1000-2500 psi should be used, depending on the strength and durability of the concrete. Hot, high-pressure water is recommended.  The operator should adjust the pressure and flow as needed to remove the concrete curing compound. A temperature of 150 – 160˚ F is recommended for “softening” and easier removal of the curing compound.

Whichever method is chosen, it’s always recommended to try a small test patch to make sure the results match expectations.

Subsequent paint, coating, sealer, penetrating product or other type of concrete treatment will be applied, W. R. MEADOWS cannot be held responsible for ensuring complete removal of the curing compound.

The manufacturer of the subsequent paint, coating, sealer etc. should be contacted to provide final approval, prior to the application of their product(s).
